Software Engineer Level 3

Location: Fort Worth, TX
Rate: $57.48/HR
Duration: 1+ year contract
Overtime: Possible (x1.5)
Per Diem Split: Yes (if eligible)

This position is with the Advanced Development Programs Software Systems group in Fort Worth, Texas. This position requires a software engineer to use a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software field to develop, integrate, and test software products for Advanced Development Programs.

1. Candidate responsibilities will span the technology development lifecycle, including requirements generation, system and software design and implementation, and integration and flight test.
2. These responsibilities may also span the avionics services, to include ground station development as well as mission systems software technologies.
3. Integration activities will include a multitude of host systems, such as live assets of varying capability and structure, simulated systems, and laboratory environments that include constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations.
4. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
5. The successful candidate must have demonstrated effective pro-active communication skills as the position will require frequent inter-organizational and outside customer interactions.
6. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction and integration and test activities is required.
7. Experience with Java/C++ coding languages, object oriented architectures, and object oriented design is required.
8. Experience with Data Links and Comms, modular Open Mission Systems architectures, integrated development environment including debugger tools, networking, RTOS and PC development, embedded systems integration, requirements generation, and systems interface development is highly desired.
9. In addition, recent work experience with embedded architectures, single board computers, hardware and software in the loop implementation and testing, and F-35 Mission Systems Software is a plus.
10. The successful candidate will need to pass a security screening before interview.

Basic Qualifications
STEM Degree
Level 3: BS+6-10 YRS or MS+4-8 YRS
Experience C++ and Java.
Knowledge of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems.
Ability to travel 25% of time.
