Electrical Engineer

Description:
Seeking an Electrical Engineer 3 located in Bingen, WA

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client is a leading high-tech autonomous systems company driven by a culture of agility and systematic improvement. Since 1994 Client has led in the design, development and production of small autonomous aircraft for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). We currently produce and sell an ever growing fleet of Unmanned Aircraft Systems that are low-cost, long-endurance, and have low personnel requirements. These UASs provide a no-runway launch, unprecedented stabilized day and night video for ISR, robotic flight control, and a no-nets capture.
As we continue our rapid growth in the UAS/UAV market we are looking for experienced talent to help us achieve our goal of maintaining the agile and innovative problem-solving capabilities in all the products we offer.

Analyzes, interprets and develops electrical system/subsystem requirements and specifications. Allocates requirements across module-level design elements and conducts trade studies. Performs risk assessments and generates risk mitigation plans and strategies. Decomposes system requirements. Creates electrical system architectures and develops detailed electrical hardware and firmware designs. Establishes electronic hardware interface controls and de-conflicts interface violations. Develops and releases electronic hardware documentation packages. Develops andperforms verification and validation procedures against operational and functional requirements. Conducts testing/analysis of avionics/electrical components, equipment, and systems. Establishes technical performance metrics. Diagnoses operational anomalies and makes design improvements and/or modifications. Participates in Project Design Reviews

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Familiar with Analog, Digital, Power Distribution and EMI/EMC fundamentals-concepts within circuit design. Familiarity with Rigid PCB technologies (IPC Standards, PCB fabrication, PCBA Assembly processes and documentation standards, AS9100 standards), Ethernet, RS232 and VeriLog. Familiarization with Flex and Rigid-Flex Technologies a plus

Specific Experience Required
CAD Tools: Preferred experience with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, Mentor Graphics Hyperlinx - Signal Integrity simulation, Power Integrity simulation and Circuit Analysis tools (E.g. LTSpice).
Test and Debug: Mixed Signal Ocilliscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Digital Multi-meter, Programable Load and other test tools.
Other requirements: Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio.
Programming skills (added bonus): FPGA SOC/microcontroller, Verilog, Embedded-C

EDUCATION:
Accredited BS in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience or MS in Electrical engineering with 5 years of experience in electronics hardware design
