Quality Engineer

Description:
Duties:
1. The Quality Assurance Engineering classifications are responsible for ensuring that delivered products and/or services conform to contractual and the Company requirements by designing, implementing, evaluating and continually improving quality assurance and control methods and systems.
2. They translate design drawings and contractual requirements into a comprehensive, understandable and functional quality plan; monitor and closely support manufacturing, inspection and supplier functions that relate to product quality; coordinate with the customer the establishment of government quality requirements and material review board activities; represent quality assurance in corrective action activities; and participate in audits or product evaluations to determine the effectiveness of the quality assurance program.
3. These positions collaborate with engineering laboratory and production functions to ensure quality standards are in place.

Skills:
Required:
1. Processing Non-conformance documentation.
2. Generate First Article Plans.
3. Experience with GD&T.
4. Experience in a manufacturing environment.
5. Proficient with MS Office software.
6. Two (2+) plus years of QE experience.
7. Must have at least a basic understanding of drawing interpretation.
8. Must understand fundamental concepts of quality such as the difference between a rework and Repair disposition, how to create a FAI per the AS9102 standard and an understanding of handling issues with supplied parts.

Desired:
1. Experience in Aerospace manufacturing environment
2. Experience with Material Review Boards (MRB)

Education:
1. BS degree and minimum 2 years directly related experience.
