Description:
In General, controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between points of origin to final destination in order to meet internal/external customer requirements. Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing constraints in order to meet program objectives. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, electronic data systems utilization/data integrity, and related functions. Builds relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. Integrates learning from customers, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, and training for continuous improvement.

Specifically, perform L&TS Hardware Labs team operational logistic activities and coordination of simulation/test equipment, computer systems, electronic parts, non-electronic parts, and Aircraft PME as required. Coordination with procurement team on Material requirements for lab parts receiving including update of labs parts status, and parts tracking, as well as coordination with transportation outlets to ensure parts reach their appropriate destinations. Also, RF ID tagging of equipment as required, perform Parts/Equipment Salvage efforts, and coordinate/support Lab Tools Calibration activity with Metrology. Tasks also include packing/unpacking, lifting, moving, staging, shipping, receiving, and database tracking of Lab Hardware parts deliveries and coordination with LM internal transportation and external shipping vendors as required. Position requires a demonstrated ability to perform operational logistics tasks and parts receiving analysis related tasks as well as experience with computer applications involving spreadsheets and/or databases.
