Join our team to take projects from concept to production, including design tasks and releasing Bills of Materials. You will keep track of all the calculations, communications, drawings, and changes for your projects.

Responsibilities:
• Create designs that meet our customers’ specifications while staying within our company’s manufacturing abilities. Calculate & analyze to ensure the engineering designs comply with all the criteria & regulations.
• Test, or initiate testing of, components and installations to verify that everything fits, works, is reliable, and meets our contractual obligations.
• Coordinate your tasks to make sure everything stays on schedule, keeping in mind vendor and production lead times. You’ll keep updating task status and recording time on each task.
• Assist designers or drafts-persons on tasks as needed.
• Interact with vendors and customers on design related issues.
• Check Engineering Documents, instructions to service, shop floor instructions, and others as authorized.
• Lend your Engineering knowledge and abilities to help Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service Support, and other departments as needed.
• Travel as needed

Qualifications:
• Proficient in CAD and Unigraphics.
• Experience in drafting.
• Strong team work and problem solving
• Motivated self-starter who takes initiative and works well independently.
• Able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast paced, high-demand work environment
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
Preferred:
• NX(Unigraphics), Teamcenter, MATLAB/Simulink, Solidworks, Fortran, Mathcad, and/or LabVIEW.
• Experience in Mechanical Design and/or Experimental Testing/Research.
• Data Processing and/or Analysis skills or experience.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s from an Engineering technical institute as a draftsperson or technologist in Electrical or Mechanical, with 5-10 yrs. experience; or, Master’s with 2+ years of experience.
