Mechanical HVAC Engineer (531)

Description:
We are seeking a full time permanent HVAC Mechanical engineer who will working on designing municipal city and county building HVAC systems in the state of New Jersey. Much of the work involves responding to RFI/RPFs as well as working on current projects. Applicants will be expected to have a firm understanding of not just HVAC, but plumbing codes and standards normally associated with NJ rules and standards. Incumbents will be expected to conduct building surveys in the field, as needed. Once designs are approved, designing work would be completed by mechanical designers and draftspersons.

Position will entail full life cycle design, from requirements gathering to shop drawings/design, project construction management, implementation and documentation.

This is a full time salaried, with bonus, position.

Required:
*5 years’ experience designing HVAC mechanical systems.
*Knowledge of NJ building and plumbing codes as well as ASHRAE design standards.
*Design of load calculating of chilled and hot water piping/air distribution systems.
*Experience in AutoCAD.
*Strong client communications skills
*BSME
