Description:
STS AeroStaff Services is currently hiring Supplier Quality Engineers for open positions in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.

Job Summary:

Investigate, analyze, and resolve supplier quality problems by conducting audits, analyzing defect trends, and leading continuous improvement projects.

Job Duties:

• Develop positive relationships and effective lines of communication with suppliers.
• Drive “zero-defect” mentality within the supply base.
• Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of nonconformities.
• Identify technical problems with suppliers and implement corrective actions.
• Work to resolve issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply.
• Initiate and follow up on Supplier Corrective Actions (SCARs) to ensure complete and effective toot cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Perform periodic audits of Supplier Quality Systems for the purpose of assuring continued supplier conformance to the quality system requirements.
• Monitor, communicate, and improve supplier quality key performance indicators (KPI’s) (i.e. SQ report card, DPPM, CARs, etc.).
• Strategically lead supplier quality improvement projects to completion.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS Degree with 4-7+ years’ experience OR MA/MS Degree with 2-5+ years’ experience OR PhD Degree with 0-2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Previous project management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of various quality system methodologies - 8D, 5 Whys, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, etc. preferred.

Requirements:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Must work well cross-functionally, with diverse groups of people and be able to function independently of direct supervision.
