Principal Systems Engineer with active secret CA

Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer

Compensation: 74/hr
Assignment Length: 12 month contract

Description:

ONLY candidates with active clearances will be interviewed

Support a multidiscipline team of engineers developing programmable cryptographic modules and systems. Provide the technical interface to the customer, and providing leadership to the engineering team on the program. Work closely with the Program Manager to ensure programs are planned, staffed, and executed to plan. Support all major project milestone reviews. Provide oversight for the technical, cost and schedule performance of Systems engineering for the development effort. Create system level requirements and architecture, security design and certification documents. Ensure the integrity of all engineering products, drawings, plans and specifications, requirements allocation products, system architecture, design analyses, interface descriptions. Support problem investigation/corrective action teams.

Required Skills:
Minimum 8 years of related experience in supporting development projects from concept through implementation and integration
Requires Active Secret clearance
Experience in efficient time management to support multiple projects concurrently
Experience in developing architectures for complex modules and the design of complex modules
Experience in working with engineering, quality and operations to successfully transition hardware to production
Experience presenting to and interfacing with customers (internal and external)
Experience with closure of issues, risks and opportunities

Desired Skills:
Current or prior experience cryptographic products and designs and certification processes
Current or prior experience EVMS, cost estimation (ETC and EAC) and schedule updates
Agile work behaviors
Must be able to work problems and shape solutions with customers from both a tactical and strategic perspective

Required Education:
BS in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related technical field
