Customer Support Project Engineer

Description:
The main scope of this position is to manage schedule / MSP (Microsoft Project) of a couple of groups in Customer Support division. Follow up group managers / members and relevant parties that the group has interface with. Support CS Project Manager to identify schedule issues and to develop mitigation plan. Support each group to implement schedule management cadence of Customer Support division harmoniously.

The primary work location will be in Seattle, USA. However, the job may involve international travel.
  • MSP (Microsoft Project) Schedule management. Ensure MSP and other progress reports (KPI, Status update chart etc) are updated by each Group in timely manner.Identify schedule behind tasks in MSP and report to Group Leader (GL) / Team Leader (TL) / group members weekly. Support to develop reports to CS IPT Leader for CS schedule management meetings.Participate in group schedule mtg, organize information of schedule status / issues / mitigation plan, and report to CS Project Manager (PM).
  • Critical Path management support. Investigate MSP and identify candidates of critical path and report to PM. Confirm progress in critical path through MSP, update the progress report format defined by PM, and report potential issues to PM.
  • Interface management. Ensure schedule connection with other parties that the group has interface with in schedule. Follow up other parties' person in charge to keep compliance with due date. Identify issues / risks and report to PM.
  • Change management. Support each group to proceed the change management process defined by Program Management division and Customer Support division. Provide information of MSP and confirm the change has been reflected to MSP.
  • Other support for CS Project Manager. Support PM for the scope of work defined below by providing information of MSP / Group schedule
  • Schedule issue / risk management
  • Critical path management
  • Budget / Resource issue management

 Expected Education / Experience and Skills:
 
Candidates must have proficiency of schedule management by MSP (Microsoft Project)
Candidates must have skills and experience coordinating with other division and leading projects
Candidates must have skills of fluent language in English
Project Management experience is preferred
