Structural Design Engineer

Description:
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Rate: $60.00/HR
Duration: 1 year contract
Overtime: Possible (x1.5)
Per Diem Split: Yes (if eligible)

****Active Secret Clearance preferred****

Job Description:
- Primary role is design of structural detail parts, assemblies and installations, but may support equipment and systems installations as well.
- Engineer shall be responsible for development of layouts, preparation of engineering drawings and coordination of related activities.
- Candidate must be able to coordinate efforts with little or no supervision across a wide range of functional organizations, such as Planning, Tooling, Stress, M&P, R&M, Manufacturing, and other Installation Design teams (ECS/Hyd, Harness, Subsystems) to ensure that designs meet customer and derived requirements.
- Layouts, studies, new drawings, revised existing drawings, and ECNs (engineering change notices) will use CATIA V5 and require a strong understanding of GD&T and Interchangeability.
- Although the primary assignment will be to support retrofit designs, could also support mod line issues, production floor support, and field requests.

Education:
- Level 3: BS+9-15 YRS or MS+7-13 YRS
- Degree not required but must be experienced in aerospace design.
- F-16 release system familiarity a plus.
- Catia V5 experience required.
- MS Office experience required.
- 3D Models experience required.
- GD&T experience required.
- Secret clearance will permit more flexibility of assignments, but not required.
