Mechanical Design Engineer Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and design and will be responsible for calculating requirements and cost analysis with the use of SOLIDWORKS and light industrial machinery.

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

Calculate drive requirements and ratios, cam profiles, machine timing, actuator forces, and similar functions

Design and develop new machinery, equipment, and mechanical systems

Analyze and interpret data, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards

Conduct design reviews and provide feedback on design improvements

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

Minimum 5 years of experience mechanical design of light industrial machinery

Minimum 3 years of experience in the packaging industry, preferred pharmaceutical packaging

Knowledge of FDA regulations on CGMP in machine design application

Proficient in SOLIDWORKS, pneumatic circuits, and devices

Understanding of pumps and fluid dynamics

Background in base of fabrication processes like milling, turning, welding, plating, and coatings, and cost impacts

Mechanical Design Engineer Benefits:

Contract to permanent opportunity

Pay range $34.00 to $40.00 per an hour
