HSE Engineer

Description:
PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking an HSE Engineer to work at the Miami, FL Honeywell Location.
Job Summary:

• Implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly.
• Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental policy and procedure manuals.
• Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
• Serves as contact with all federal, state, and local regulatory bodies.

Qualifications / Skills:

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering or related field required.
• Due to contractual regulations, US Citizenship is required.
• Exceptional skills in building interpersonal relationships, including high degree of tact, diplomacy and ability to influence
• General knowledge of Facility management activities.

WE VALUE

• Significant experience in health, (particularly Industrial Hygiene) safety, and environmental experience, with progressively increasing responsibility
• Some manufacturing experience
• Certification in safety, health, or environmental field
• Lean Six Sigma Experience
• Thorough understanding of HSE regulatory requirements and professional best practices
• Mature judgment and decision-making ability, with strategic and tactical HSE experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills (training/presentation, leadership coaching, facilitation, team collaboration, communication)
• Experience participating in audits and implementing HSE management systems
• Experience participating in audits and implementing HSE management systems
