STS AeroStaff Services is now hiring Aviation Quality Inspectors in Spokane, Washington.

Job Summary:

This Role will be tasked to utilize their seasoned skills to be effective, efficient and productive on a daily basis. Quality Inspectors will be expected to work as a cohesive unit to manage all quality control aspects of aircraft maintenance, aircraft painting, material and tooling acquisition, and administration of maintenance and training records, as well as assist in creating an atmosphere of communication, collaboration and teamwork.

Job Duties:

• Continuing Education of CFRs such as Part 145, 121, 65 and Part 43
• Coordination of External Audit Inspections, Reports, Corrective Actions, and Responses
• Coordination of Customer Inspector Training and Certification Requirements
• Organizational Skills to Function Properly in a Fast Paced Industrial Environment
• Qualification Validation and Appointment for Interim Quality Manager to Support Organization During Extended Period Absences
• Ensure that Work Orders are Completed Per Established Inspection Procedures and Sign Air Worthiness Releases
• Ensure that Inspection Items are Compliant and Complete
• Ensure that Parts Tags are Filled Out and Processed Properly with Proper Tag Attached
• Support Records Supervisor with Controlling and Auditing Work Orders
• Perform Receiving, Preliminary, In-Process, Hidden Damage and Final Inspections
• Provide Training (Initial and Recurrent) to Site Employees
• Perform Quality Assurance Audits and Routine Surveillance of In-Process Work
• Manage the Internal Quality Audit Program
• Review Inspection Forms and Paperwork for Proper Completion
• Serve as the Alternate Repair Station Point of Contact for the FAA
• Survey and Approve Potential Materials and Service Vendors

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operational Management, General Business, Etc. (preferred)
• Experience in Lieu of College Education (consideration)
• Minimum of 5 Years’ Experience in the Aviation Quality/Inspection Area with a Large Organization
• Ability to Wear Full Face Respirators, Coveralls and Fall Restraint Equipment
• Ability to Pass a DOT Drug and Alcohol Test
• Ability to Pass a 10 Year Background Check and Obtain TSA Airport Badge
• Ability to Work a Variety of Shifts Based on Company and Client Needs
• Current FAA A&P Certificate (validation verified)
• Current Software Skills such as MS Office Suite, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.
• Experience Designing, Developing, Implementing and Training Program Related Items
• Experience with Lean Production, TQM, and/or Six Sigma Work Environments
• Ability to Communicate Effectively with a Variety of Methods (Verbal, Written, Presentation, Etc.)
• Achieve Compliance Goals: 1. Customer Pick-Up Rate of 15/Aircraft; 2. Customer Satisfaction Rate of 4.5 for Quality Category; 3. Indirect Labor Hours of 110% or Less; 4. Corrective Action Completion Rate of 95% On-Time
• Manage the Administration of Manuals: Repair Station, Quality Control, Repair Station Training, Operations Specifications and the Quality Management System
• Creation of Standardized Reporting of Service Risks, Major Repairs and Unapproved Parts in Accordance with Applicable Regulations
• Evaluation of Inspector and Designated Inspector Qualifications and Authorization to Perform Appropriate Inspection
• Ensure that all Aircraft Maintenance Meets FAA, Customer, Company and/or Manufacturer Specifications
