Beeline Job Title (Mapped): Data Integration Specialist (Level III)



Assignment Scope:



Supports data integration across the ConocoPhillips global enterprise. Manages the transformation, delivery, and exchange of data between both internal and external business systems across all business units. Provides daily operational production support and 24x7 callout support on a rotating basis. Architects solutions in support of business critical operational and back-end processes such as well operations, financial closing, and enterprise data warehouse. Works with team members to provide system support, documentation, and knowledge sharing of best practices. Must have experience with implementation and support of Informatica 9.5 or higher. Must have hand-on experience integrating with Teradata. Must have experience building both traditional ETL scenarios in Informatica as well as non-traditional Integration scenarios. Must have ability to architect complex integration scenarios using Informatica. Must have ability to architect and develop data warehousing solutions. Typically requires 5-7 years of experience. Experienced level. Requires a strong understanding of discipline. Able to apply knowledge and experience to complex problems and develop recommendations. Makes decisions within broad parameters. Acts as an informal resource for others with less experience.



Position Comments:



This position supports Operations, GGRE, Finance and DPO professionals in seeking to develop processes and produce solutions.



Other Responsibilities Include the Following:



• Develop strong working relationships with Business Analysts, Applications Analysts, Data Analysts and Project Managers



• Translate business requirements to technical components / requirements



• Work with Solutions Design and Enterprise Architecture to ensure solutions are compliant with current and future technical environments and maximize reuse and long-term viability and quality while enabling rapid, incremental delivery of solutions to provide immediate business value



• Primary technical contact during the life of the effort (Proof of Concept, Troubleshooting, Support, Issue Resolution, and Integration)



• Works as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) across service delivery groups, ‘owner’ of the end-to-end work required to implement a solution



• Understand and learn new technologies to fully scope out issues and project work



• Determines and Communicates impact, status, and time to resolution for on-going App Support



• Coordinates timing, scheduling, execution, and validating delivery of required work from service delivery groups.



• Understanding and conforms to corporate IT data and security standards



• Owns testing and cut-over plan for Maintenance/Upgrades



• Owns Operational Readiness Assessment and Review



• Cultivate knowledge sharing of the existing and emerging technology portfolio



• Vendor Support Integration



• Provide technical and architectural consultation to meet business needs



• Provide feedback from implementation experience to continuously improve solution design



 



Competencies (Education + Certification + Skills):



Required:



• 5+ years of oil and gas experience



• 3+ years technical support experience in the oil and gas industry



• Strong business analysis skills



 



Preferred/Additional Competencies:



• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related Information Technology Field



• Take initiative



• Multi-tasking to meet to meet critical business demands



• Ability to work with a sense of urgency and independence, displaying innovative skills to solve complex problems



• Experience with Application Support, Data Management or Application Development



• Strong analytical skills



• Willingness to learn new software applications and workflows related to data management and application development



• Demonstrated effective teamwork with multidisciplinary geoscience, and engineering teams and ability to perform cross-functional technical support when needed



• Generates effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions



• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with IT teams and business users



• Technical skills to include C#, ASP / .Net, HTML, JavaScript, Oracle SQL PLSQL, Teradata



• Understanding of ETL technologies and their role within a data warehouse solution



• Transmits information so it is received and understood in the way it was intended



• Ability to see “big picture” and pro-actively look for innovative opportunities within IT and the business



• Strong writing skills to proactively maintain/create documentation



• Demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering results while maintaining a safe environment
