The Production Associate with be involved in both manual fabrication of parts and the operation of automated equipment.
Following successful completion of the post-employment on-boarding training, you will manufacture composite hardware for the Aviation industry, participate on teams to identify and implement process improvement opportunities resulting in improved quality and product flow.
Fabrication involves lay-up process, curing, bonding, autoclave operation, ply-cutter operations, press operations, reading and understanding computer and written planning, and some assembly. Individuals must be capable of successfully operating in all elements of the process.
In addition, you will :
Set-up and operate production machinery including, but not limited to:
N / C mill / drill machines, pneumatic presses & injectors, hand grinders, NDT inspection, painting equipment, cranes, forklifts, ovens, blasting machines, ply cutters, laser projection equipment, hydraulic layup tables, vacuum lines, CMM inspection machines, grinders, external super-finishing machine, internal super-finishing machine and similar machines
Run multiple machines
Use a variety of high precision instruments to adjust and check the mechanical operation of units
Perform intricate manual operations such as: layup, de-mold, de-flash, kit cutting, drilling, countersinking, assembly (fastener installation) and other similar operations
Develop and improve basic work instructions such as methods sheets, drawings, sketches, etc., using past job knowledge and skills
Work will involve a variety of metals, composite materials, and parts with close tolerances and fine finishes
Keep work areas and equipment clean, and operate safely
