Test Engineer Level 3 - TX - C

Description:
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test Engineer Level 3 for an opening in Grand Prairie, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Test Engineering position is responsible for hardware development for PAC-3 Missile-related test sets. This position requires the ability to develop and document system, hardware, firmware, specifications, and test plans in support of a production environment per high level requirements. The qualified applicant will also support part selection, fabrication and assembly. Candidate should have experience in automation of the collection, measurement, and evaluation of data including the use of a wide range of test equipment such as power supplies, DMMs, Oscilloscopes, RF Power Meters, Frequency Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers. Candidate will be expected to interface with stakeholders, suppliers, and other technical support personnel. Candidate will apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle. Candidate will participate in program team meetings and act a liaison of the Test Engineering Department interfacing directly with Package Design. Testing is performed on analog, digital, RF circuits, systems. RF circuits experience is a huge plus. This candidate shall also create test set documentation in support of Design Assurance Reviews and Peer Reviews. Candidate should be a self-starter; with minimal to no oversight needed to complete assignments. The qualified applicant will provide guidance and technical mentoring for college new hires and interns in support of pipeline building. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Test Equipment hardware and/or software development and/or support experience. Hardware design and troubleshooting knowledge for computer based automated test equipment. Familiarity with National Instruments development tools. Test engineer will be assigned to support one or more of the Integrated Air and Missile Defense or Tactical Missiles related test sets and will provide support to the Responsible Engineer for the hardware and/or software of the test set. In addition, this engineer may be called upon to assist with the development of new test instrumentation to replace obsolete items or development of new test sets.. Analyze/troubleshoot complex ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) to include board level diagnostics through system level. Analyze/troubleshoot ATE support equipment to include test cable assemblies, Interface Test Adapters (ITA), engineering sub-assemblies, engineering Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), and CCA test fixtures Analyze/troubleshoot test software and/or hardware and ATE issues. Perform routine scheduled maintenance and support scheduled calibration activities Support/perform ATE software and hardware validations/verifications.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience developing or maintaining ATE for military electronics. Experience with National Instruments development tools (specifically Test Stand, LabVIEW, or LabWindows CVI), and/or MS Visual Studio (C++, C#). Hardware troubleshooting knowledge for computer based automated test equipment.

Accredited BSEE or BSEET or BSCE
