PDS Tech is currently seeking a Safety and Reliability Engineer for our client in Kirkland, WA
This is a DIRECT PLACEMENT and completely ON SITE position.
*MUST be US citizen or Green Card holder*

Job Title: Safety and Reliability Engineer 3
Start Date: As soon as cleared
Pay/Bonus: $53/Hr - $58/HR - ($110K/Yr - $120K/Yr)
Location: Kirkland, WA 98034 (14th St and Willows Rd)
Schedule: M-Th 9 hour shifts and a short 4 hour day on Friday. (Start time is flexible)

Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Safety and Reliability Engineer performs risk and reliability analysis in support of contracted programs, Bid and Proposals and Internal Research and Development activities. This role will participate in activities to obtain new and follow-on business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Apply Safety and Reliability (S&R) principles and techniques to influence the architecture and support development of safety-critical aerospace electronic systems following DO-254 and DO-178 processes
Work closely with electrical engineers, systems engineers, mechanical engineers, software engineers, and customers to develop safe and reliable electrical power systems for aircraft
Conduct Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA)
Develop Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Perform System Safety Assessments (SSA), including Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Common Cause Analysis (CCA)
Analyze the effects of Single Event Upsets (SEUs) and develop mitigations

Requirements
Citizenship: US Citizen OR Green Card Holder
Vaccination: None
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering
DS/BG: Drug Screen (Checks for Marijuana) and Background Check.
Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering
5+ years of related experience
Possess ability to read and understand schematic diagrams and partition circuitry into functional blocks
Familiarity with Windchill/Relex software and 217Plus reliability prediction model preferred
Familiarity with overall ARP-4761A System Safety process for Commercial applications and MIL-STD-882e System Safety process for Military applications, or ISO 26262 for Road Vehicle Functional Safety preferred

Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a drug test and background check, and applicants who do not successfully pass both the drug test and background check will not be considered for employment.
