A Manufacturing Engineer job is currently available at Belcan Engineering in Rockford, IL. This is a full time, direct job with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have prior manufacturing & quality engineering experience with electrical power systems (EPS). You will be working in a shop floor environment to solve manufacturing process issues within the aerospace industry.

Manufacturing Engineer job duties:
* Lead PFMEA activities including updates & creation of new PFMEA's for Aerospace products
* Coordinate efforts in providing PFMEA training with Central Quality to rest of ME organization
* Focal point from ME team in participating MPR (Manufacturing Production Readiness) events led by Central Quality & support ME presence
* Implement actions identified by the operations team including but not limited to:
* Recommending and designing tooling
* Updating equipment to increase quality control robustness
* Updating assembly Job Instruction Sheets (JIS's)
* Other manufacturing engineering tasks related to quality control
* Update and maintain progress documentation, including action tracking files and PFMEA's
* Communicating the progress of action closure and implementation to operations and quality management.

Qualifications:
* AS or BS in Engineering desired but not required with relevant experiences
* Well versed with methodology of creating Job instruction Sheets & identify improvement opportunities in process of JIS creation. Ability to read engineering prints and incorporate requirements into JIS's
* Experience with recommending and designing assembly tools
* Advanced PFMEA experience with ability to train, mentor, and lead
* Experience with electromechanical hardware highly desired
* Legal authorization to work in the US required: US Citizenship due to the nature of the work

Desired but not required skills:
* Prior experience with Solumina strongly preferred for routing changes
* Tooling Design with NX
