CFD Analyst / Aero Performance Engineer

Description:
Analyze configurations using computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
• Additional tasks may include aerodynamics coordination with multi-discipline teams including modification teams, logistics support, and other engineering disciplines
• Wind tunnel test planning, execution and data reduction
• Perform data reduction and correlation of flight test data to mathematical models.
• Plan and participate in certification / qualification testing and reporting
• Articulate formal design reviews and present design data to external and internal customers.
• Experience and familiarity showing compliance to the requirements of 14 CFR Part 23, Part 25, MIL-HDBK-516B and MIL-STD-1797B is required.
• Candidate shall have advanced experience with MATLAB, FORTRAN, and CATIA.
• The applicant should have a strong background in modeling and analyzing external aerodynamics using Computational Fluid Dynamics software utilizing STAR-CCM+, CFD++, Pointwise, and Tecplot
• Requires a BS in Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline, with 10+ years of experience
