Chipton-Ross is seeking an Systems Engineer - Level 3 for an opening in Dallas, TX.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The candidate will work closely with various disciplines to participate in and have the ability to generate the development of appropriate architecture and requirements work products for efforts in requirements elicitation, development, allocation, trace-ability, and management; relying heavily on the NRC NuREGs and Industry Standards; interface development and documentation; and the development of the associated system design artifacts IAW the Commercial Nuclear Processes. Understanding and proficiency in architecture development for allocation of functions to system elements for trade studies to identify alternate components/parts for future builds.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: -Familiarity with development of SW and HW products to include Programmable -5 to 10 years' experience performing system requirement responsibilities, such as system definition, requirements analysis and allocation -Proficient in writing system documentation, such as system requirement specifications, verification plans, etc. -Proficient in IBM DOORS
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: -Working knowledge of UML or SysML -Experience with Rational Publishing Engine -Familiarity with Nuclear regulations and standards, such as NUREG 800, ASME NQA-1 and 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B Functional and Physical Architecture Development -Formal training or experience in programmable logic, or control systems in general -Knowledge of Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations and endorsed standards -A good team personality. -Willingness to adapt to many different tasks. -Familiarity with DOORs.
EDUCATION: -A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or Software Engineering from an accredited college. -Background in system definition, requirements, and architecture -Familiarity with test reports & good writing and reviewing skills.
