Chipton Ross is seeking a Product Repair/Mod Tech in New Orleans, LA.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modification/repair. Experienced in the use of tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of electrical wiring. Able to perform connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring. Ability and understanding of routing instructions and handling of harnesses. Perform efforts associated with sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying, and closure of wire harnesses and cables in accordance with standard processes. Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Inspects component before installation or usage to verify cleanliness and serviceability of components. Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications. Performs tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
FULL TIME/1ST SHIFT WORK HOURS: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

MISCELLANEOUS: Candidates will be required to provide their own standard set of hand tools, etched, shadowed and inventoried are required.
