Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer PDS is looking for experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineers in the San Diego area Duties Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer Individual will be responsible for the hardware development for missile, satellite and / or fire control electronics and general packaging support. Activity will require:
Cross functional coordination to complete hardware design effort to support hardware integration for the designed weapon system.
Research, development and design of components, equipment and networks for military applications.
Basic Qualifications - Must be able to obtain a security clearance - Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with a minimum 3.0 GPA - 3D modeling tools (example would be Pro-E/CREO, Catia, Solidworks or similar)
Desired skills - Working knowledge of harness design and development. - Working knowledge of printed wiring board and surface mount technologies is desired. - Exposure to, or experience with, Pro/Cable for harness development and Cadence for PWB design is a plus. - Working knowledge of military hardware specifications is desired. - Desired design experience includes chassis, electro-mechanical assembly, electrical cable and/or network design. Able to interpret electrical schematics for harness development a plus.
