We are currently searching for the right talent to fill this opportunity:

Test & Evaluation Engineer 3
(U.S. Citizenship Required*)
Seattle, WA

• Turn business partner requirements into test plans and test procedures, defining required test fixturing and setups, ordering materials, coordinating test setups, conducting/supporting test execution, providing test reporting and project management.
• Focus on testing nacelle and low speed aerodynamic models, fuel systems, fuel properties and liquid flow meter calibrations, fire extinguishing and flammability of materials.
• Propulsion lab activities involve laboratory and aircraft ground testing.
• Develop & maintain propulsion related test facilities to support airplane design, development, certification, research and technology development, delivery, after sales support, and accident investigations.
• Laboratory and test facilities supported include the 9X9 Low Speed Wind Tunnel (BPWT), Fuel Test Facility, Fuel Properties and Fuel Flow Calibration Facility, the Hazardous Test Facility (Fire), and the Nozzle Test Facility (NTF) located at the Propulsion and the capability to perform various types of these tests at remote facilities.
• Support development and verification of test methods.
• Develop detailed test procedures, and define instrumentation and configuration, for the test, minimizing risk within the constraints of the test plan.
• Design test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements.
• Analyze, process, and format data to customer requirements.
• Review test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer.
• Prepare and publish test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements.
• Present test results internally.
• Archive data and reports.
• Work under general direction.
• Minimal travel required if any - dependent on current tests

• Engineering knowledge of the principles that underlies each type of test activity.
• Basic knowledge in the following areas: Fluid dynamics (incompressible and compressible flows), thermodynamics and heat transfer, basic aerodynamics, and general structural basics.
• Functions independently on tasks that require high attention to detail with limited guidance to support assigned testing and process development tasks.
• Intermediate skill/experience in Testing and in the Testing lab, specifically Mechanical Testing
• Intermediate skill/experience in developing and executing test plans, specifically Validation Test plans
• Able to work with others and communicates well
• Skilled in planning & organizing
• Intermediate Skill/experience in MS Office
*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in test or related engineering discipline or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in test or related engineering discipline.
