Join our 777X Regulatory Administration Team. You will partner with design teams (Mechanical / Hydraulics, Avionics, Cyber Security and Network Security) to support airplane-level certification objectives. We’re looking for someone with certification experience.

• Support executing certification strategies in an ever-changing environment.
• Work with engineers and regulators to successfully address domestic and international certification topics related to mechanical/hydraulic aspects, cyber security, avionics and/or network security
• Track and resolve open issue papers (FAA) and certification review items (European Aviation Safety Agency) in the aforementioned areas
• Review and accept certification plans to validate alignment with internal & regulatory processes
• Arrange and facilitate discussions between subject matter experts and government agencies
• Publish summaries that accurately reflect regulatory discussions and follow-on efforts
• Participate in airplane design reviews with the goal of highlighting and mitigating certification risks, from a procedural perspective
• Provide input into the certification basis of the 777X based on design team efforts
• Ensure certification aspects for major program milestones are met by partnering within and across the organization
• Travel required from Everett, WA to Des Moines, WA approximately twice a month.
• Travel may be required to Cologne, Germany approximately once every 6 months.

• Skills in global regulator requirements and project management
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and procedures
• Able to enforce adherence to internal and regulatory processes is required
• Open-minded and comfortable working in a teaming environment while being a champion for regulatory initiatives, objectives and milestones
• Able to drive consensus and assist in the development of technical briefs for domestic and foreign regulators
• Willing to consider and investigate alternate proposals in support of a “never fail” spirit
• Proven integration and communication skills, as well as demonstrated experience in project leadership are required
• Background in Systems design teams, highly desirable
• Familiarity with internal certification authoring tool called Design Change Classification System (DCCS), desired but not required
*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience.
• Degree from ABET accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
