System Integration Engineer

System Integration Engineer
(US Citizenship Required*)
Sterling Heights, MI

• Support prototype build and verification projects under the Tracked Combat Vehicle (TCV) and/or Stryker and Specialty Wheeled (SSWV) vehicle lines of business. Includes Kuwait EMD prototype vehicle build, Abrams SES/SEP V4 projects, Stryker SHORAD and C4ISR projects.
• Keep the team lead informed on prototype build and verification status.
• Monitor the Engineering Bill of Materials maturity and Engineering Release Plan execution.
• Utilize and update the prototype build BOM.
• Write MRs for all material required.
• Track material receipts and address late to need issues.
• Status assembly and fabrication build plans.
• Quickly disposition obsolete parts as directed by USG.
• Develop and foster a cohesive build team environment between prototype shop mechanics, sub system engineers, and system engineers.
• Primary interface between sub-system engineering and the prototype build shop responsible for vehicle level system integration, verification, and problem reporting/resolution.
• Generate Engineering Problem Reports to document fabrication, installation, and/or functionality issues discovered during the prototype build.

• Familiar with CAD and CAD viewer software.
• Familiarity working in union shop environment.
*US Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience preferred.
