Advanced Software Configuration Management Specialist

Advanced Software Configuration Management Specialist
(US Citizenship Required*)

Responsibilities:
• Define and utilize software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally acquired software products
• Compile, assemble, and package software from source code
• Prepare for and run Software Change Control Board meetings and may support Systems Change Control Board meetings
• Create, review and/or approve Software documentation
• Maintain a flexible schedule to work off hours, remotely, as needed by program needs
• Define and implement build requirements & procedures used to support software product development and use
• Develop software configuration management standards for company wide use
• Track and maintain Third Party Software (TPS) library, including license counts and usages
• Audit TPS data against Software Bills of Material; review all Purchase orders and eSACs in support of usage
• Train software developers in the use of configuration management tools in support of company Configuration/Data Management policies and best practices
• Work with others to complete analysis, evaluations and design alternatives and to implement process improvements
• Work with project teams to determine an appropriate build schedule and initiate the build & packaging process
• Support in development of program plans, Configuration/Data Management Plans and proposals

Qualifications:
• Required – active Secret clearance. Candidates without active clearance will not be considered.
• Required – successfully pass a credit check.
• Considerable understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field
• General knowledge of other related disciplines
• Skills in time management, multi-tasking, and attention to detail
• Highly proficient in MS Office Suite
• Proficient in Software Configuration Management Applications
• Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
• Able to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
• Grasps and applies new information quickly; handles more complex assignments
• Initiative, independent judgment, and professional execution of projects with little/no direction
*US Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
