IT Technician

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a IT Technicianst in Panama City, Florida

Part-time to full-time (30-40 hours per week) 


Assists in the configuration, installation, deployment, and support of computers and telephones

for the establishment of new facilities and expansions to existing facilities to meet safety, regulatory, customer, and internal requirements within schedule and cost parameters.


  • Assist in the unboxing, configuration and deployment of computers and telephones
  • Assist in the inventory of staged and deployed information technology assets
  • Assist in the support of end users as they receive new computers and telephones
  • Ensure that customers and business requirements are fulfilled
  • Accountable for strict adherence to the schedule, budgets, quality and safety standards associated with assigned projects and proactively manages project tasks, anticipate delays, and take appropriate action, including identifying and using applicable escalation path as needed.
  • Demonstrates strong problem solving, analytical thinking, and decision making skills. Develops solutions to critical business issues and presents alternatives. Effectively communicates issues and recommends strategies and tactics.


  • Candidates must be U.S. Persons. Candidates will also be subject to an employment background investigation to include but not limited to: criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of courses or certification(s) in IT related discipline preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in addition to demonstrated commitment to customer service, supervision, estimating, safety and quality.
  • Industrial information system experience of manufacturing or similar industrial facilities to include large move and relocation of such facilities. Experience with network/IT security in a government based secure environment preferred.
  • Performing a wide range of physical activities, some requiring fine manual dexterity. Must demonstrate the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs on a regular basis. Must be capable of repetitive bending, twisting, and standing for long hours.


  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface effectively with team members, some located remotely, to communicate project plan and receive updates to maintain the project schedule.
  • Experience with installation & use of Voice over IP (VoIP) Network, Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Network, physical cabling (copper and fiber optics), and power equipment (UPS, Generators, etc.).
  • Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience of liaising with suppliers and contractors on installation requirements
