Tool Designer, Creo (508)

Description:
*This is a full time, 6 month contract position located in Grand Prairie, TX*

We are hiring for a contract tool designer who will be working with CAD software to develop industrial machinery, equipment, tools, etc.

Daily work will be to conceptualize and design production tooling / fixtures such as weld templates, drills, jigs, assembly fixtures, holding fixtures, lifting devices and checking fixtures. Applicant will review tool drawings, work with floor engineers and product designers with the goal of reducing production problems/risks, support tool room machinist / welder, conduct FEA testing on lifting device and work stand designs and will assist with fixture load testing.

Required:
*3 years’ experience in tool designing using Creo, Windchill experience helpful.
*Familiar with Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances (GD&T).

*Must be able to apply and be eligible for a clearance in order to apply; US Citizens only please.

Pluses:

*Active or Interim Secret Clearance
*ERP/MRP manufacturing systems experience, preferably SAP.
*AA Degree or equivalent.
