MP&P Technical Analyst

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a MP&P Technical Analyst in Ridley Park, PA.


  • Oversees and/or develops advanced manufacturing, quality, and in-service Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) procedures and techniques by analyzing damage scenarios, selecting appropriate Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) technologies, and writing and validating procedures to facilitate effective Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) structural inspections and ensure a reliable product.
  • Designs reference standards and hardware related to Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) procedures to facilitate procedure application and performance.
  • Coordinates and consults with relevant engineering groups, customers, and industry experts to ensure engineering requirements are met.
  • Guides the application and direction of procedure development to ensure consistent and appropriate use of Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) and measurement system across the enterprise.
  • Leads the evaluation of new, complex technology and/or supplier equipment (e.g., sensors, nondestructive evaluation, measurement systems, software) through research and testing to ensure adherence to specifications and/or performance requirements.
  • Consults with other NDE experts regarding evaluation results and recommendations to ensure a common process across business units and industry.
  • Oversees and/or performs the review of supplier and/or sub-contractor processes and control methods by interpreting a variety of documents (e.g., proposals, Specification Control Drawings, Supplier drawings and specifications).
  • Directs and/or performs on-site supplier assessments to determine suitability of supplied parts and materials for use in existing products.
  • Oversees the development of qualification/certification requirements for personnel (e.g., Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering) by creating tests and establishing training criteria and certification duration in order to ensure personnel safety, product integrity, and/or regulatory compliance.
  • Directs the Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) personnel certification program by overseeing the administration of exams and the maintaining of records to ensure Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) personnel meet job qualifications and regulatory compliance.
  • Leads the development of advanced, complex Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) processes and equipment by inventing and conceptualizing innovative ideas and solutions to resolve problems or issues (e.g., quality improvement, flow time reduction).
  • Coordinates and champions the implementation of improved processes and equipment.
  • Coordinates the development of advanced process specifications using engineering requirements and collaborating with key industry contacts to provide customers with state of the art and/or cost effective technology.

  • Qualified NAS 410 NDT Level 3 with ASNT Qualifications in a minimum of one of the following NDE disciplines: Magnetic Particle (MT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), Ultrasonic (UT), Radiography (RT), Eddy Current (ET), Infrared Thermography (IRT).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Level 3 certification in ultrasonic (UT) and/or Radiography (RT) non-destructive evaluation (NDE).
  • Experience developing nondestructive testing procedures within a production or laboratory environment.
  • Experience implementing new non-destructive evaluation (NDE) equipment in a production environment.

Typical Education / Experience:

  • AA degree in related discipline and typically 9 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
