Help Desk Support Specialist

Description:
We have an outstanding Contract position for a Help Desk Support Specialist to join a leading Company located in the Oak Ridge, TN surrounding area.

**U.S. Citizenship Required.**
**Candidate must possess an Active Secret or Active Interim Secret Security Clearance.**
**Candidates must be able to obtain ITIL and Security+ certifications within 30 days from the start date.**

Job Responsibilities:
This family provides first-line technical support to computer customers with questions regarding account administration, distribution of software and documentation, system and network status, and problem entry via problem tracking tool.
Maintain and update tracking tool.
May report recurring problems to management.
Performs predetermined work assignments with detailed instructions.
Follows established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
Contributions are usually limited to assignment related activities. Decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules.
Interacts daily with supervisor, peer groups, and customers. Interaction normally involves exchanges or presentation of factual information.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of technical training.
