Senior Advanced Reliability Engineer

Senior Advanced Reliability Engineer
(US Citizenship Required*)

Responsibilities:
• Support Reliability, Maintainability, and Systems Engineering teams in the design, development, production and fielding of systems, hardware, and software.
• Participate in new design trade studies providing Reliability/Maintainability subject matter expertise inputs to the design team.
• Analyze engineering design concepts using Design for Reliability (DfR) techniques and recommend improvements. Recommend reliability test methods to improve design reliability and robustness.
• Generate formal technical reports per Government and client standards in accordance with the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) or Sub-contract Data Requirements List (SDRL).
• Generate Reliability and Maintainability mathematical models, including MTBF predictions, Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECAs), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) predictions, Durability/Life and Testability Analyses, and Operational Availability (Ao) predictions.
• May support or lead Failure Review Board (FRB) activities including root cause analysis, generation of formal failure mode reports, interfacing with sub-contractors and the customer.
• May lead and develop plans/procedures for Reliability and Maintainability Demonstration tests.

Qualifications:
• Required – able to obtain Secret clearance.
• Experience using Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio Professional, TeamCenter
• Experience using one or more Reliability Engineering tools from PTC (Windchill Quality Solutions), Reliasoft, DfR Solutions (Sherlock), or DSI International (eXpress) and using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power-Point, and Excel).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to multitask and work with Program Management and multiple engineering disciplines including Systems, Software and Hardware Engineering.
*US Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Reliability, Electrical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering, or in a related technical field is required (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
