Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer

Currently, we are recruiting for the following role:

Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer
(U.S. Citizenship Required*)
St. Louis, MO

• Perform system and subsystem development for a variety of weapons programs, proprietary programs, and commercial and military UAV programs.
• Products include full up weapon systems, critical subsystems (such as core processors, automatic target recognition processors, and power supplies), embedded software and firmware, algorithms, and analysis.
• Work with a senior software design engineer and have support of a senior software design team.
• Guide and participate in embedded real-time software design such as Board Support Packages (BSPs) and other low-level software
• Apply knowledge of engineering principles and concepts to design, develop, test, and peer review component and system level software
• Develop, document and maintain software requirements, architectures, interfaces, algorithms and designs
• Develop code and integrate complex software components into a fully functional software system
• Develop software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
• Execute and document software research and development projects

• 3+ years’ experience working with embedded software and real-time software applications
• Proficient in C
• Real-time embedded software development using VxWorks, Green Hills Operating System, and Linux
• Familiarity with Avionics Systems
• Languages:
o C, C++, C#, Python, Ada95, IDEs: Visual Studio, Green Hills, Eclipse
• Tools:
o ClearCase, Git, ClearQuest
*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's and 5+ years' experience, Master's degree with 3+ years' experience or PhD degree with experience.
• Degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
• BSEE, BSCE, BSCS, or higher preferred
