Electrical Designer - Facilities

Description:
Responsibilities

Work includes, but is not limited to design and documentation of electrical systems in the form of single line drawings, calculations, panel schedules, and reports.
Conduct building system assessments and inspections to evaluate conditions, operations and maintenance requirements of building electrical systems, design electrical systems to comply with various project scopes of work in accordance with applicable standards and regulations including the California Electrical Code.
Design systems including calculations, drawings, and submittals.
Review system designs developed by project design teams for accuracy, compliance with Resort standards and guiding principles, quality and completeness.
Recommend system improvements, enhancements and replacements.
Proactively interface and consult with Resort lines of business, engineering services teams, and project managers to provide world class engineering support.
Provide technical assistance to maintenance issues on electrical systems.
Maintain accurate documentation on electrical system configurations and capacities.
Support to capital projects.
Ensure projects comply with codes, e.g. CBC, CEC, NFPA, ASTM, EPA, OSHA, DOSH, applicable insurance underwriter requirements, and Disneyland Resort standards.
Basic Qualifications

High school graduate and at least two (2) years college - mechanical/electrical engineering courses
8-10 years design experience on or around electrical circuit design, lighting design, control panel and controls design, machine design, industrial equipment automation, pneumatics, & hydraulics
Proficient in CAD software packages - minimum of 5-10 years experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD - minimum of three years experience
Proficient in developing correct form, fit & function of designs
Proficient in design & detail of components & assemble & make supporting analysis
Familiarity with maintenance requirements & procedures for common electrical components
Familiarity with electrical conductors, conduits & callouts
Proficient in materials selection & application
Proficient in using measuring devices such as scales, calipers, & micrometers
Proficient in configuration & document management
Proven knowledge of California Electrical Code
Proven minimum two (2) years experience working with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications/ Desired Qualifications:

Accuracy, focus, productivity, good communication skills
Ability to work with tight schedules
Familiarity with SmarTeam software
Proficient in geometric dimensioning & tolerancing
Knowledge of architectural/facility drawing CAD standards & requirements
