Design Engineer - Level 2

Description:
Inconen is looking for a Design Engineer - Level 2 for our client, a well-known Aerospace Company, in Redmond, WA.

**Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen without Dual Citizenship**
**Our client mandates that all employees and contractors must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19**
**Candidates must have GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and Creo, NX, and/or Solidworks CAD software experience. Windchill experience preferred**
**2 years minimum of related experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, with 2 years minimum of related experience using Creo, NX, and/or Solidworks CAD systems**
**Knowledge in the design of monopropellant / bi-propellant rocket engines and propulsion systems (high temperature combustion/reaction chambers, nozzles, injectors, valves, and other associated rocket engine hardware) is preferred**

Duties:
-Design Engineer - Must be able to create or modify designs of liquid rocket propulsion system hardware operating at high temperatures & pressures and in corrosive environments.
-Responsible for designing and developing of in-space propulsion products
-Applies research to the planning, design, and development of rocket engine combustion/reaction chambers, nozzles, injectors, valves, and other associated rocket engine and propulsion system hardware.
-Responsible for design modeling and coordination with other disciplines including analysis, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, materials & process engineering, project engineering, etc.
-Majority of work will be to develop and maintain component and assembly layouts, designs/CAD models, and drawings using Creo CAD system for liquid engine hardware. NX CAD system may also be used at times.
-Activities: conceptual design creation, design layouts, GD&T application, tolerance analysis, systems design and integration, fabrication process identification, synthesis of higher-level requirements to component level requirements. Conduct trade studies for design optimization.

Skills:
-Candidates must have significant experience with CAD software & GD&T. Higher level certifications are preferred.
-Windchill experience preferred.
-Mechanical Design and development Engineers research, develop, analyze, design, and support fabrication of components using engineering and scientific principles.
-Must be able to interface well with other members of project or program team, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives.
-Must be able to prepare and make presentations at both internal and customer design reviews.

Education:
-BS degree in an Engineering field or equivalent.
-MS degree is desired.
-2+ years of related experience.
