Automation Engineer (CNC)

Description:
2nd shift Automation Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:
Performs relentless root cause analysis to eliminate downtime on CNC equipment and robots.
Assists maintenance personnel in diagnosing equipment issues, addressing machine alarms/faults, and developing preventative maintenance plans.
Works on projects to assist in the technical planning, system integration, verification and validation for CNC and robotic systems.
Creates and maintains standard work for machine operators and engineering processes, including verification and certification procedures.
Seeks to identify possible problems presented in applicable projects that may cause a delay or exceed budget.
Contributes to finding appropriate solutions.

Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or similar discipline, with 5-7 years experience in an engineering role supporting CNC equipment and robots
Masters of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or similar discipline, with 2-3 years experience in an engineering role supporting CNC equipment and robots
Expertise with the operation of CNC equipment with Siemens 840D controllers, Fanuc 16i, Kuka robots, Fanuc robots, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communications with all levels of the organization.
Fluency in reading, interpreting and creating electrical, mechanical, and fluid drawings/schematics.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience with programming languages such as Python or C+
Basic knowledge of SQL databases ad computer networking
