Associate Image Scientist (3+ yrs exp)

Description:
The successful candidate will have sufficient image science background to work on the algorithmic components required to process raw digital imagery and understand the interaction within an imaging chain as well as order of operations. They will understand the fundamental factors that make-up and influence image quality as well as being familiar with some of the measurement concepts, such as the modulate transfer function (MTF), relative edge response (RER), dynamic range, signal to noise ratio (SNR).

Experience with geo-positioning, geo-location or photogrammetry would be a plus.
A current active security clearance is a plus.

Basic Requirements:
• US Citizenship required. Willingness to obtain and ability to obtain a US Government security clearance is required.
• This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate disciple such as Image Science or related fields such as Physics and Electrical Engineering along with 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree 7 years of relevant experience is required

Preferred Skills:
• Familiar with SOCET GXP software
• Familiar with ENVI software
• Knowledge of photogrammetry and geo-location methods

Experience/Qualifications:
• Experience with Electro-optical systems
• Proficient with Matlab and/or IDL for scientific programming and data analysis
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Experience with ISR systems and DOD is a plus
• Familiarity with C++ is a plus
• Familiarity with Machine Learning would be a plus
• Ability to multi-task
• Team oriented
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Travel ~10%
• Knowledge of image systems and associated processing
• Strong Mathematical background
• Strong team player and interpersonal skills
