Mechanical Designer / Checker with CREO (156)

Description:
*This is a full time, 9-12 month contract position, located in Grand Prairie, TX*

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer/Checker who has experience in mechanical design with a background in military applications and standards.

Daily duties will include verifying engineering drawings and related documents for soundness, efficiency, and simplicity in design; completeness, clarity, and dimensional accuracy; correctness of materials and processes; conformity to design/drafting standards, design specifications, and practicability; and economy of fabrication, assembly, and installation.

Required:

*11 years’ experience in designing, checking and drawing release of military parts/systems (structures, materials, processors and parts selection).

*Creo experience
*Experience with ASME Y14.5M-1994; GD&T (Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

*Active Secret or Active Interim clearance.

Preferred:

*Experience using CATIA

*Mechanical Computer Aided Drawing (MCAD) skills

*Previous use of one or more PDMs

*Knowledge ASME Y14.24M engineering drawings and general drafting practices of IAW ASME Y14.100.

*Familiar with MIL-T-3100 and MIL-STD 100

*Engineering degree
