Mechanical Assembler-2nd &3rd Shift

Mechanical Assembler Requires knowledge of mechanical machine assembly to assemble, rebuild, and repair machinery.  Requires ability to read engineering drawings. 
Also requires the ability to set up and operate a variety of machine tools to assist in the assembly of machines and components.  Must be a team player who is quality oriented. 
Must have the ability to work unsupervised, provide training and cross-training to employees.  Position requires a quality conscious, industrious individual who pays attention to detail. 
Ability to coordinate with engineering, and make changes as required to update print package.  
Applies mechanical ability and mechanical testing procedures to layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify machinery. 
Fits and assembles components according to engineering drawings. 
Possesses knowledge of machine assembly to construct, rebuild, and repair machinery according to work order specifications. 
Diagnoses and replaces damaged or malfunctioning parts. 
Assists R&D technicians and engineering in developing new equipment, test runs sub-assemblies to ensure proper operation and alignment of mechanical components such as belts, air cylinders, indexing units, and drums.  Verifies conformance of parts to stock list and engineering drawings using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers. 
Verifies alignment and tolerances of moving parts using measuring instruments such as dial indicators and thickness gauges. 
Sets up and operates a variety of hand tools such as drill press, saws, shear and break. 
Operates tow motor, pallet jack, hoist, and overhead crane to aid in the safe handling of raw materials and fabricated parts.
Completion of a vocational diploma in mechanics or equivalent training, and/or one to two years experience in machine assembly or similar field.  Must be computer literate and capable of reading engineering drawings.  Set up and operate a variety of power tools such as drill press, bandsaw and stud welder.  Must have tools required to perform daily routine.

2nd shift hours:  2:25pm to 12:55am   4-10's Mon-Thurs
3rd Shift Hours:  9:30pm to 8:00am 4-10's Mon-Thurs
