Job Title: STRUCTURAL ENGINEER-RS 4
Location: Vandenberg AFB, CA
Duration: 12 Month Contract

Job Description:

Work duties will include mechanical and structural design for facility support systems as well as creating new or modifying existing drawings based on engineering sketches and drawing markups to conform with all of standards and requirements.
Performing walk downs of projects to verify details will be required.
Design work to include solutions to existing issues with current equipment as well as new designs.
Creating of detailed drawings including parts lists and bill of materials.
Additional duties would include incorporating 'As Built' edits, new drawings and other design changes into the existing Facility Drawing Set, and scanning and digitizing existing paper drawings for digital manipulation.
Perform configuration management and drawing release functions per *** LSP-EI-002.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree Required
A minimum of 5 years of professional drafting experience.
Have mastery of AutoCAD drawing program.
Experience with drafting electrical, mechanical and structural designs.
Experience working independently and in a team environment.
Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
The selected candidate must have excellent communication, writing and oral skills and have the ability to work with a wide range of team members.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and logic diagrams.

Preferred Qualifications:
Drafting experience in a variety of design environments.
Expert in AutoCAD 2018. Experience with other CAD programs such as NX and / or Revit preferred.
Associate’s degree plus 6 years or more of directly related experience (for external candidates only).
