Process Engineer

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer in Nebraksa City, NB.


  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end and provide ongoing support to supervision. 
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. 
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. 
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. 
  • Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary. 
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. 
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. 
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. 
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. 
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. 
  • Track project milestones and deliverables. 
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas. 
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. 
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle. 
  • Keep pace with state-of-the-art technologies and transfer that knowledge into current and future manufacturing practice. 
  • Recommend and coordinate the design and implementation of new or revised capital equipment. 
  • Research, evaluate and recommend capital expenditures. 
  • Assist in developing and evaluating standard costs. 
  • Assist in the design of special equipment, tooling and fixtures. 
  • Layout work stations and provide associated fixturing. 
  • There may be times when a temporary work assignment is necessary in order to maintain the production requirements of the department.
  • Work assignments will be made at the discretion of Management. 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering. .
  • Five to eight years of engineering experience in managing large-scale automation projects in high volume manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Visual Shop Floor Control, and tools such as OEE/Line Efficiency Data tracking, Root Cause problem solving, and Kaizen events. 
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and procedures, and manufacturing processes and procedures sufficient to perform required analysis and make recommendations regarding production processes, cost control, and work standards.
  • Background in Autocad and Solidworks software, along with the Microsoft Office Suite (including Project).
  • General knowledge of cost accounting for estimating costs of new product production.
  • Knowledge in the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
