Advanced Workspace Support Technician

Advanced Workspace Support Technician
(US Citizenship Required*)
Scottsdale, AZ

• Perform a variety of duties in support of end-point computing devices and peripherals
• Respond to and diagnose problems; answer queries regarding computer hardware, software, network and telecommunications systems
• Maintain and update records & tracking databases
• Install hardware & peripheral components, such as computers, network/telecom, monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives
• Load and verify correct operation of software packages, such as operating system, work processing and spreadsheet programs
• Provide training and technical assistance to users
• Administer and support networked PC systems
• Provide PC problem resolution, consulting and software training to end-users
• Handle 2nd tier problems that the 1st tier or help desk support is unable to resolve
• Configure desktops, laptops, and thin clients
• Simulate or re-create end user problems and use all available resources to resolve issues
• Recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems.
• Assist installing, implementing, and upgrading internal systems
• Maintain an inventory of all equipment, hardware, software and supplies
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and monitor external and internal hard drives, printers, plotters and scanners
• May maintain a tracking system for usage evaluation
• May be internal and external client-focused for company-hosted web-enabled solutions
• May be responsible for day-to-day support of Infrastructure including servers and storage
• May be responsible to monitor Infrastructure performance using monitoring tools
• May be responsible for managing the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems
• May be responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of servers and systems
• May perform OS and vendor software patching on servers
• May perform troubleshooting on Servers

• Required – successfully pass a credit and a driver’s license check
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of basic development principles
• Able to integrate well in a team environment
• Strong experience in own IT field and applications
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Able to demonstrate initiative, apply personal talent to practical solutions
• Consistently displays high performance attributes
• Strong ability to work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature and will work and/or may lead other initiatives and projects as well
• Must be comfortable making decisions with minimal direction based on established policies and standards
• Demonstrates strong customer focus, communication and collaborative skills consistent with expectations for position
*US Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Associate's degree is required or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
