Location: Savannah, GA
Rate: $60.00 - $63.00/HR
Long Term contract


Unique Skills:
- Catia Designer
- Proficient, recent and/or active use in Catia V4
- Proficiency in Unix/mainframe as the server application for Catia V4
- Proficient, recent and/or active use in Catia V5
- Proficiency in SmarTeam as applicable for Catia V5 considered an asset
- Proficiency in converting and modelling 2-D engineering drawings to Catia V4/V5 as needed
- Proficiency in Catia V4/V5 modeling, and surfacing as needed
- Proficiency in Catia V4/V5 Kinematics considered an asset
- Proficiency in Catia V4/V5 Hydraulic Tubing and Routing considered an asset
- Proficiency in Secondary Structures / Brackets design & installation for hydraulic tubing, components and systems considered an asset
- Experience in OEM Aircraft Commercial and/or Regional and/or Business Aircraft Platforms and/or modifications of those platforms into Military Special Missions Aircraft desired
- Experience in Landing Gear and/or Hydraulic components and systems up to Aircraft Integration and Certification level desired in several or more of the following areas:
-- Nose Landing Gear, Nose Wheel Steering, Main Landing Gear, Landing Gear Indication & Control, Wheels, Brakes, Brake Control Systems, Tires, Landing Gear Actuation, Emergency Landing Gear Extension
-- Engine Driven Pump (EDP), Hydraulic Reservoirs, Hydraulic Accumulators, Hydraulic Filter Manifolds, Hydraulic Shutoff Valves, Hydraulic System Sensing & Indication, Aux Pump, Hydraulic Power Transfer Unit (PTU),Hydraulic Replenisher Pump, Valve & Reservoir, Hydraulic Motor Generator (HMG), Hydraulic Lines, Fittings & O-rings
- Experience in minimum 3,000 psi or higher Hydraulic components and systems desired
- Experience and proficiency with Technical/Engineering Supplier oversight and coordination desired
- Proficiency in handling multiple task priorities in a direct and matrix work environment considered an asset
- Experience and proficiency in a results-oriented work environment while ensuring safety and quality desired
**Candidate shall not be a foreign national and must be legally qualified to work on an ITAR project.


Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a related curriculum, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. See Other Requirements in Job Description. 10 yrs in the specific technical discipline or 15 yrs broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors, or 8 yrs in the specific technical discipline with Masters, or 6 yrs in the specific technical discipline with PhD.


Position Purpose:
Guides successful completion of major engineering programs, or conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions: 1. Selects appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues 2. Is consulted extensively by associates and others as a recognized authority within the field 3. Anticipates and resolves complex issues in creative and effective ways, developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities 4. Approach to problem solving balances technical product, cost and schedule 5. Works without appreciable direction; work is reviewed from a long-range perspective for desired results 6. Exercises latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments, and makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative

Additional Functions: 1. Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product 2. Performs other duties as assigned

Other Requirements: 1. Advanced degree in engineering, or related curriculum preferred 2. The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline
