Electrical Engineer

Description:

- Candidate must have or be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.

This position is to support the Lower Tier IAMD Production efforts relative to PAC-3 subsystems electronics

The applicant shall have a Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on General Digital and mixed-signal.
The successful candidate should have demonstrated knowledge and experience with motor initiators, igniters, and associated ignition system safety devices.

Will provide technical oversight and monitoring of a major subcontract and related sub-tier subcontracts. This will include at minimum review of proposed engineering changes, evaluation of product failures, and compliance to requirements by the supplier. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members including the customers and contractors. The Candidate must be able to work in a collaborative IPT (Integrated Product Teams) environment and will be responsible for representing LM in several IPTs. The candidate must be a self-starter with good organizational skills. Previous integration and experience is desired. Experience across engineering disciplines is desired. Experience in risk management and earned value management is desired. The candidate should understand the concept of hardware obsolescence.

Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree required.
- Knowledge of digital and mixed-signal electrical design.
- The Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members including the customers and contractors.
- Able to work in a collaborative IPT (Integrated Product Teams) environment and will be responsible for representing LM in several IPTs.
- Self-starter with good organizational skills. Previous integration and test experience is desired. Experience across engineering disciplines is desired. Experience in risk management and earned value management is desired.
- Ability to travel to support MFC and customer production facilities. Approximately 6 weeks/year.
- Candidate must have or be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with rocket motor initiators, igniters, and associated ignition system safety devices.

- The candidate should understand the concept of hardware obsolescence
-Review of proposed engineering changes, evaluation of product failures, and compliance to requirements by the supplier, failure review boards, material review board (MRBE)
