Manufacturing Engineer

Description:
Our electronics manufacturing plant is looking for a mid level Manufacturing Engineer with at least 7 years of experience in CCA design for manufacture and fabrication. Candidates should display the ability to work well within a team environment and foster positive working relationships with people from diverse job classifications and backgrounds. The candidate should possess the flexibility to positively impact a wide variety of CCA processes in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Engineering Processes:

Authoring electronic work instructions to comply with design requirements

Performing DFM reviews to include panel/PWB design and applying knowledge of manufacturing design best practices

Driving efficiency and quality improvements in a high mix/low volume environment

Selecting and driving procurement of capital technologies to improve capabilities

Designing/procuring SMT solder stencils to support production needs

Analyzing quality trends and implementing corrective actions

Performing failure analysis to include root cause determination

Developing manufacturing controls to handle sensitive CCA materials

Determining and program appropriate reflow profiles for SMT boards

Setting up and structuring manufacturing Bills of Material (Oracle experience preferred)

Programming/Daily Processes:

Providing technical support to production to ensure that goals are met

Generating SMT programs for hands on operators to run (Siemens/Siplace experience preferred)

Programming solder paste application/inspection equipment

AOI programming for automated inspection (Yes Tech experience preferred)

Selective solder programming (Juki experience preferred)

Programming x-ray for automated inspection (GE experience preferred)

Other Duties:

Support a production team and help to implement process improvements

All other duties as assigned

Position Requirements Candidate should possess a Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline preferably Manufacturing with a minimim of 7 years applicable experience.

Candidate should also possess;

Proficiency and experience with Valor DFM software is a big plus

Experience with manufacturing under government contracts is preferred

Experience in high mix, low volume operations is preferred

Candidates should possess a strong technical knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products and general computer proficiency is required

Candidates must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication

Experience with Lean manufacturing concepts (LSS GB, BB, ETC)

Be able to obtain a security clearance
