Avionic Openings: ME, Design, Production Support

Avionics/Electrical Design Engineer
a. Education: B.S. Engineering
b. Interpret electrical schematics
c. Design harness assemblies using Visio or an electrical library
d. Design Avionics installation and integration using Catia V5
e. Design Avionics enclosures, panels, and brackets
f. Experience with machined parts, sheet metal, and composite parts
g. Aircraft electrical wiring component selection (backshells, terminal blocks, splices)
h. Assist in connectivity and routing of wiring harnesses and mechanical configuration of top-level assemblies
i. Release flight test instrumentation installation drawings
j. Gather information on vehicle, 3D prototype, provide manufacturing support

Avionics/Electrical Engineer, Production support (AKA Liaison Engineer)
a. Education: B.S. Engineering
b. Provide avionics production support and drawing redlines
i. Engineer to provide support to technicians on harness assembly, harness installation, and harness terminations on-ship. Provide guidance and redlines if required.
c. Inspect avionics production work such as wire harness assembly and instrumentation
d. Experience with wire harness design and install drawings is a plus.
e. Experience with flight test instrumentation (strain gauges specifically) is a plus.
f. Performs other duties as assigned
g. 3rd and 4th shift positions

Avionics Manufacturing Engineer
a. Coordinate with production planning, quality, production control, and more to ensure avionics production work is executed smoothly
b. Work with avionics technicians and quickly resolve production obstacles
c. Develop manufacturing instructions, manufacturing aids, and tooling
d. Inspect production work is performed correctly
e. Qualifications:
i. Strong understanding of wire harness manufacturing process and formboard drawings
ii. Strong understanding of electronic assemblies with circuit boards
iii. Strong understanding of electrical schematics & termination drawings
iv. Strong understanding of EWIS principles for vehicle routing
v. Experience integrating wire harnesses in vehicle
vi. Experience working with technicians, production planning, quality, and more to ensure jobs are completed per schedule
vii. Extensive knowledge of aircraft-type wiring and components such as connectors, backshells, conduits, relays, switches, terminal junction system components, etc
viii. Catia V5 experience is a plus
ix. Experience with composite vehicles is a plus
x. Experience with schematics in Microsoft Visio is a plus
