Manufacturing Engineer

Description:
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Rate: $55.47/HR
Duration: 15 month contract
Shift: 1st Shift – 9/80
Overtime: Possible (x1.5)
Per Diem Split: Yes (if eligible)

Requirements:
- Manufacturing engineer to perform product and part verifications (PPV) for forward fuselage on F35.
- This person will need to be familiar with aerospace design drawings and planning as well as requirements.
- PPV is the process of ensuring that engineering, planning, processes, tooling ect. are correct and in place to allow the operation to be completed successfully by the mechanic.
- It is desired that this person have experience at LM on the F35 program and be familiar with manufacturing processes and procedures.
- The job is a combination of research and shop floor observations and support.
- This is a first shift position for 9/80A schedule (9 hour days with every other Friday off).

Job Description
- Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
- Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
- Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
- Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
- Responsibilities include close coordination and collaboration with the Product Focus Teams, Factory Material Flow, Tool Services, and Facilities in developing and implementing production readiness in each of the component and assembly areas.
- May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
- Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
- Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
- Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Education:
- Level 3: BS+9-15 YRS or MS+7-13 YRS
