Systems Engineer Technician

Description:
GENERAL:
Supports systems/specialty engineers in defining requirements, developing trade studies, performing analyses, and controlling associated data and information. Gathers, tracks and analyzes reliability, maintainability and health monitoring data. Participates in failure reporting. Assesses and verifies maintainability design. Coordinates the development of certification and aviation regulatory proposals and plans and verifies compliance to requirements. Develops and supports implementation of certification processes, tools and procedures. Trains others. Works under general direction.

DETAILS:
Reliability and Maintainability Systems Engineering Technician to support non-recurring Maintenance program analyses (MTAs – Maintenance Task Analysis, Customer Scheduled Maintenance program analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance Analysis – RCMA, MSG-3 Maintenance Steering Group 3 Analysis) in support of concurrent domestic and international Chinook helicopter programs.

- Basic understanding of aerospace terminology, systems, sub-systems, functions
- Knowledge of typical aerospace BOMs (structure, P/N, Rev, nomenclature)
- Aerospace Reliability and Maintainability work experience or equivalent (preferred)
- Rotorcraft Scheduled Maintenance experience (Chinook/H-47 experience preferred)
- RCMA/MSG-3 Scheduled Maintenance Program experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of US Army Maintenance Program processes and procedures
- Detailed knowledge of Chinook/H-47 airframe and related structure systems
- Experience in reviewing Drawings and using 3-D Visualization Tools
- Configuration management skills
- Experience (preferred) in performing Maintenance Task Analysis (MTAs) to identify maintenance task steps, estimated task times, tool requirements, skill requirements
- Computing Skills (excel, word, etc.) and ability to quickly learn new software tools
- Strong attention to detail mindset and a solid track record of producing first-time quality products that require no/little rework

AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
