EVMS Specialist/Scheduling

Description:
(3) EVMS Specialist/Schedulers needed for 9+ month contract, East Aurora, NY

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Responsible for developing and accurately maintaining integrated master/sub-project schedules, ensuring schedule logic is maintained (horizontal & vertical).
Coordinate work activities with project team members, progressing schedules and assisting in identifying and resolving schedule conflicts.
Conduct detailed analysis of major Program Events as well as key intermediate milestones and in addition, will coordinate with Suppliers to collect and deliver current progress information associated with contractor agreements in order to provide status updates to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Interface with customers, suppliers, and government agencies as well as Group/site management and program personnel relating scheduling concepts and how they relate to cost and schedule integration in Earned Value Management.
Ensure conformance with EVMS description documents.
Responsible for training technical and financial personnel in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and project scheduling methods (i.e. critical path method) to support program execution.
Expected to interpret the status for potential schedule impacts and communicate said impacts to control account/program manager and Integrated Product Team Leads.


Requirements/Qualifications

Must demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with co-workers in a team-based environment.
Strong organizational and project planning ability as they will be viewed as a key contributor to the business capture and planning phase of business development.
Ability to function efficiently as team member in all aspects of job performance.
Must have knowledge of earned value concepts and theories with the emphasis and the program planning and scheduling aspects and will be viewed as the focal point of the schedule aspects of the earned value information within the Integrated Cost & Schedule Group.
Have knowledge in scheduling concepts and how they relate to cost and schedule integration in Earned Value Management.
Must have advanced analytical skills in identifying interrelationships of schedule activities as well as proposing workarounds.
Strong interpersonal skills are also required for contacts with outside agencies and customers as well as with Moog employees at all levels and locations.
Must have extensive knowledge in schedule management from initial schedule development through program completion.
Must have personal computer experience for Scheduling (Microsoft Project), spreadsheets (Excel), word processing (Word), databases (Access and Hyperion), and presentations is required.
Must have experience using MS Project, earned value measurement (EVM) techniques in cost and schedule performance management.
Experience using EVM software such as MPM and Winsight required.


Education

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, accounting, or a related field and 3 years of relevant work experience demonstrating strong analytical, problem resolution, organizational, program management and leadership abilities. In lieu of a degree, 5+ years equivalent experience may be accepted. Equivalent experience may include: leading teams on complex development projects, applying current Defense industry standards for schedule assessments and producing analytical schedule reports for customers.
