Description:
Location : Windsor , CT 06095
Job type : Full time – Regular

Essential Job Functions:

Work with/drive assigned suppliers to deliver Zero Defect Plans (ZDP) with all actions identified. Travel to supplier sites will be required. Frequency expected to be between 1 to 2 visits a month. Supplier assignments will be made local to selected candidates to the greatest extent possible to minimize travel expenses.

Secondary Job Functions:
• Supplier to maintain and report defined metrics above. UTAS reserves the right to review and audit outsourced work products for completeness and technical accuracy at any time throughout the life of the SOW.

• Quality Engineers to support ZDP efforts for UTAS Pure power Suppliers. Individuals will manage and collaborate with the suppliers to ensure that detection and systemic corrective actions are identified to address quality escapes that occurred at the supplier.
• ZDP Focals are responsible for reviewing and managing the supplier submittals and conduction ZDP NAR reviews as needed at the supplier's facilities.

Specialized Knowledge / Skills
• Previous SQE would be a plus.
• Customer/supplier program review, MPR, auditing, and data retrieval & analyzing
• Excellent communication and customer facing skills
• Efforts require knowledge and support of the ZDP Tool developed the UTAS team as well as the review of data prior to submittal to the SharePoint compiler site generated by the contract supplier.
• Proficiency manipulating data within MS Excel to create graphs, charts, and tables required
• Experie nce with Business Management Software and Databases preferred; experience with SAP would be a plus

Education, Training, and Experience
• BS degree in an Engineering or Technical domain preferred
• AS degree in an Engineering or Technical domain (or equivalent experience)
• APICS or similar certifications
