Production Planner - Level 1

Description:
Location: Manassas, VA
Rate: $19.00 - $25.00/HR
Duration: 1 year contract
Shift: 1st Shift

****MUST be able to obtain a Secret Clearance****

Job Description:
- Ideal candidate will demonstrate core values of workplace professionalism daily to be considered for a permanent role.
- Compiles and maintains work in progress (WIP) status between production areas, according to predetermined production schedules and work order priorities.
- Reads production schedules, analyze inventory reports, and review work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required and availability of stock.
- Use the knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to communicate with stakeholders regarding potential risks and opportunities and appropriate corrective action.
- Responsible for timely communication of WIP accuracy per MRP and flow schedule in a clear and concise manner.
- Coordinate kit releases and material movement to and from the manufacturing floor.
- Demonstrate accountability for WIP on the manufacturing floor.
- Manage and progress WIP stopped due production issues.
- Non-production/chemical procurement support for manufacturing.

Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory:
- Ability to forecast risks and opportunities
- Analytical skills
- Multi-tasking in fast pace environment
- Experience with common software (MS Office) Excellent
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational Skills
- Selected Candidate must perform EVERY DAY as if auditioning for a permanent role!

Desired:
- Experienced in SAP/EPDM/P2P
- Assertive
- Production planning skills - Independently performs non-routine and moderately complex assignments. Researches assignments, processes, and analyzes data and may develop recommendations. Competently uses computers and other systems to access, maintain, manipulate data. May provide leadership, direction to lower level employees. In technical or production positions, may determine methods, operations, sequences; develops and/or modifies products and equipment to requirements.
